Eastern Idaho Public Health Issues Health Order for Teton County
On July 16, 2020, Eastern Idaho Public Health’s (EIPH) Board of Health passed an Order of Restriction for Teton County that requires the use of face covering by individuals when in public places as well as limits the size of gatherings/events (both public and private) to no more than 150 people. Eastern Idaho Public Health has created a COVID-19 Regional Response Plan. Teton County is currently in the moderate risk category which triggers the mitigation measures outlined in the health order.
Idaho reported a record 727 new COVID-19 cases on July 15th. Johns Hopkins University has also reported a positivity rate (seven day moving average) of 14.1% for Idaho through July 15th, which is the 8th highest rate in the country. Keith Gnagey, CEO of Teton Valley Health, reports the positivity rate for all tests given at Teton Valley Healthy between July 5 - 11 was above 17%.
