The City of Victor is looking to hire a motivated and experienced individual to join our Public Works team as a Public Works Operator II.  This is a full-time, benefited position.  The salary range $18.41 to $26.00 /hour depending on qualifications.

The Public Works Operator II position is a supervisory position with general responsibilities for the maintenance, repair and cleaning of streets, curbs, gutters, storm drains, and parks and pathways. The position will also operate heavy equipment on a regular basis.  The Operator II position also performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled maintenance tasks in the installation, repair and maintenance of domestic water and wastewater facilities and systems.  The ideal candidate will already possess a license in water distribution and sewer collection (OIT, Level I, Level II) or have the ability to obtain the required licenses within 12 months of hire date. This position may be required to perform after-hours emergency work and on-call duties on a rotating basis, as necessary.

Assistant Planner/Planner I

The City of Victor is looking to hire an Assistant Planner or Planner I (depending on experience) to join the Planning and Building team.  This is a full-time, benefited position.  The salary range $20.00 to $26.00 /hour depending on qualifications.

The City offers a generous benefits package that includes medical (for employee and family) optional vision, dental and supplemental accident insurance, a generous paid time off program, City-paid holidays, and membership in the Public Employee Retirement System of Idaho (PERSI). 

Under the supervision of the Planning & Zoning Director, this position performs a number of planning and zoning related duties. The Assistant Planner is responsible for processing and managing a range of current planning, zoning, and building applications, such as rezoning, lot split, conditional use permits, design review, building permits, sign permits, and variances. The Assistant Planner will also assist the Planning & Zoning Director in promoting, facilitating, and coordinating long-range planning and community development activities. An Assistant Planner must be self-motivated and work well independently, as well as be part of the team. The Planning & Building Department strives to provide a high level of service to community members and developers to ensure city business is conducted smoothly and promptly.
