Scott Fitzgerald was raised in Waltham, Massachusetts and graduated with a BS in Business Administration from the University of Vermont. While looking for his first job in the business world, Scott landed in Portland, OR and began working as a bicycle mechanic. This line of work continued when he moved to Jackson, WY in 1998 searching for bigger mountains and a tighter knit community. His love of bicycles lead him to open Fitzgerald's Bicycles in 2002 which has since become Jackson's largest bicycle shop.

In 2004 Scott, his wife, and their two dogs moved to downtown Victor. They quickly fell in love with their new community even though work still keeps them in Jackson during the day. In an effort to connect more with Victor and become an active member of the community, Scott ran for public office and took his place on the Council in January 2008. He is looking forward to promoting a Smart Growth development pattern that includes a vibrant downtown core.

When not in Council meetings or at the bike shop, Scott spends most of his time skiing, biking, sailing, and traveling as much as possible.
