NOTICE – BROOKSIDE RESIDENTS: ROAD CLOSURES FOR STREET CRACK SEAL MAINTENANCE - SEPTEMBER 7 & 8

On Thursday and Friday, September 7th and 8th, from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. each day, the City will be conducting crack seal maintenance on all streets within the Brookside Subdivision as part of the street maintenance program which will require street closures.  This maintenance is funded by your roadway levy money. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope that we can work together to help maintain our streets and avoid costly replacements.

Street closures will phase in on a street by street basis to maintain as much neighborhood access as possible.  Major streets will close first followed by smaller streets as the crack seal is applied.  Once the creak seal is applied, the street cannot be accessed for one hour.  Crews will then reopen the street as quickly as possible.

Maintenance crews will need full access to the roadways on these days.  Any vehicle that is parked on these streets after 8:00 A.M. will be towed at the owner’s expense.

The roadways must be dry during application.  Please turn off all of the sprinklers September 7th and 8th, from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.  City staff may enter your property to shut down the sprinklers.

Per RAD, many residents of Brookside are due service for each trash and recycling this Friday September 8th. RAD will be collecting in Brookside starting at exactly 6am and finishing both services by 7:30am in consideration of the road work. Please place your trash receptacles a minimum of 1 foot from the street edge on your lawn or in your driveway and recycling receptacles 3 feet on your lawn. TRASH/RECYCLE CONTAINERS MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE STREET before 8am.

IMPORTANT WARNING NOTICES:

1.       DO NOT DRIVE on crack seal until streets are reopened.  Drivers are cautioned not to drive on the sealant prior to opening of the streets.
